Crailloch Croft Cottages are located on the old road 4 1/2 miles from the beautiful picturesque harbour village of Portpatrick and 2 1/2 miles from the bustling town of Stranraer.
Day trips to Ireland can be taken from Stranraer aboard the conventional ferry or the high-speed catamaran. Stranraer offers excellent shopping, a selection of bars and restaurants, a swimming pool / leisure centre and a seafront park with lots to entertain children including a boating lake, activity centre, miniature railway and crazy golf.
Portpatrick offers a choice of gift shops, restaurants and pubs overlooking the quaint harbour. There is a small but pleasant beach and there are numerous seating areas along the water front for you to enjoy the sunshine and watch the boats entering and leaving the harbour. For the younger members of the family there is a small amusement arcade, tennis courts, a putting green and boat trips along the coast are available aboard the MV Soltice which was used during the filming of the BBC series 'Two Thousand Acres of Sky'.
